KEYNOTE

The Care Gap: Where Gender and Caregiving Collide

Caregiving—whether for aging parents, children, or partners—disproportionately falls to women, creating a ripple effect that hits careers, earnings, and opportunities hard. The result? A cycle of financial burden that deepens gender inequity and often goes unnoticed. Meanwhile, less than 2% of venture capital funding goes to female founders, despite their proven resilience and innovation.

It takes unique spirit, tenacity, and care to be a caregiver—something Lindsay Jurist-Rosner, CEO & Founder of Wellthy, knows firsthand. Join us as Lindsay shares her powerful story of navigating the sacrifice caregiving often demands and the harsh realities of building a business as a female founder in a funding landscape still largely tilted toward men.

GUEST VOICES

The Realities of Caregiving—What It Means, What It Feels Like, and Why Planning Matters

Being a caregiver isn’t just a role—it’s an emotional, mental, and financial juggling act that can upend your life overnight. This conversation dives into the raw truths of caregiving: the sacrifices, the invisible workload, and the emotional toll. Without a plan, many women face the devastating choice of stepping back from their careers, often losing up to $324,000 in lifetime income due to unpaid caregiving responsibilities. This conversation will leave you empowered with a concrete strategy to protect your goals and your financial well-being.

For HR leaders and employers, understanding this burden isn’t just important—it’s essential. Women in the "sandwich generation"—over 11 million strong—are at the forefront of this crisis, and without the right support, businesses risk losing some of their most valuable talent. Attending this event will equip leaders with the insights needed to create policies that retain, empower, and support top talent through the caregiving challenges ahead.
